Why we started the Rainbow Youth Circle
Many families in our community have youth that identify somewhere within the LGBTQIA+ community. Unfortunately, there were no resources available in our county for them. This motivated us to organize the Rainbow Youth Circle (RYC) for youth to have a safe place to come together to build healthy self-esteem and to support others as they navigate through similar challenges.
Empowering youth to be their authentic selves
The Rainbow Youth Circle is a safe environment for Queer youth to understand who they are and to find ways to safely identify as their authentic selves. Our group helps the youth to build healthy self-esteem and obtain support from their peers. We believe in fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every young person feels seen, heard, and valued.
Our guiding principles: Safety, diversity, and expression
At Rainbow Youth Circle, our core belief is to provide a safe environment for diverse individuals to be able to express themselves freely and without judgment. We are committed to fostering acceptance, celebrating individuality, and ensuring every youth feels secure and supported in their journey of self-discovery.
