What we offer

Rainbow Youth Circle provides specialized programs designed to support LGBTQ+ individuals aged 8 to 17 years old. Our approach focuses on creating inclusive spaces, fostering connections, and providing valuable resources.

RYC Hangouts: Peer-to-peer support

Our main service, RYC Hangouts, offers a secure and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ youth. We facilitate age-appropriate group discussions, games, and art projects, encouraging friendly interaction and a strong sense of community for ages 8-17.

LGBTQ+ Lending library

We provide a lending library featuring age-appropriate, LGBTQ+ themed books for our youth and their families. This resource helps foster understanding, representation, and a love for reading within our community.

Safe and inclusive environment

All our programs meet in secure locations in Decatur to ensure the safety and comfort of our youth. We prioritize creating an environment where everyone feels accepted, valued, and free to be themselves.

Connecting through shared interests

During our very first RYC Hangout, three homeschooled teens, who often found socializing challenging, joined us. One teen, initially quite shy, transformed when KPOP was mentioned during a game. Their initial hesitation melted away, and they enthusiastically joined the game, connecting with others and having a wonderful time.
